The guest lodge is a beautiful brand new thatch house with luxurious finishings including sandstone tiles, cherrywood cupboards, granite counter tops and quality furniture, designed for comfortable living. All our main bedrooms are air-conditioned. We have a large entertainment area upstairs in the loft with pool / snooker table, darts and various board games.
Facilities include upstairs braai and patio area, swimming pool, luxury lounge, free wireless internet network, ADT security and electric fencing and DSTV in all bedrooms. The lodge sleeps up to 10 guests. it consists of five rooms namely:
- fish eagle luxury en-suite room (sleeps 2)
- martial eagle luxury en-suite room (sleeps 2)
- kingfisher (sleeps 2) & masked weaver rooms (sleeps 1 or 2 children )
- hoopoe luxury en-suite room (sleeps 2)
You have the option of booking on a bed only or bed and breakfast accommodation basis, we serve a full english breakfast as well as cereals, yoghurt and fruit.
There are bottomless coffee and tea facilities throughout the day.
In the self catering accomodation we provide complimentary cereals and coffee and tea.

We have ADT armed response with a panic alarm in each bedroom linked directly to the ADT control room (5 min response time)We are also double gated and have an electric fence and electric gate around the premises. The Chartwell country estates area is patrolled by DSS security 24 hours. We live right next door and are on call 24/7.
